DANCE FROM THE HEART/ART FROM THE HEART – PA DAY CAMP (Ages 6-12)

LET YOUR HEART MAKE THE ART THIS FEBRUARY!

“Dance From the Heart” with Jillian Peever, is a workshop that highlights some benefits of dance training including coordination, body awareness, collaboration, and encourages physicality and creative expressions. In this workshop we will warm up, learn some basic dance moves and stretches, and playfully approach how to express love of self, others and things through movement: “Say I love swimming without saying I love swimming”, “make a movement that shows a princess falling in love with a frog”.   In the afternoon “Art from the Heart” is your chance to learn felting techniques with local textile artist Pam Carnochan. Kids will do watercolour with wool, a fun art experience involving wool, a pokey needle, and their own creativity.
