NUIT BLANCHE NORTH 2025

Huntsville Festival of the Arts is now accepting artist proposals for the 13th edition of Nuit Blanche North, set to take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

A signature summer event in the region, Nuit Blanche North (NbN) is a bold and interactive multi-arts street festival that transforms Downtown Huntsville into a vibrant hub of artistic discovery. For one night only, from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM, audiences will experience a captivating lineup of contemporary artistic activities, performances, and installations presented in unexpected public and private spaces throughout the downtown core.

Presented with generous support from TD Bank Group and the Huntsville Downtown BIA, NbN invites both artists and audiences to explore, discover, debate, and participate in contemporary art in new and engaging ways.

2025 Theme: “LET YOURSELF GLOW”

This year’s theme, “LET YOURSELF GLOW,” encourages artists to reflect on the power of light and luminescence in the human experience. HfA welcomes proposals that explore:

• External sources of light — such as sunlight, moonlight, fire, reflections, or energy
• Inner forms of glow — including passion, imagination, identity, inspiration, and emotional expression

Special consideration will be given to projects that involve active participation from community members or festival visitors, as well as those that connect meaningfully to the Muskoka/Parry Sound region—its people, landscape, or stories.

“Nuit Blanche North has always been about sparking imagination and bringing people together in unexpected ways.” says Executive Director Dan Watson. “With this year’s theme ‘Let Yourself Glow’, we’re inviting artists and audiences alike to shine a little light—on themselves, on their community, and on the beauty of this place we call home.”

Artists working in all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Installations, performances, digital works, and interdisciplinary projects that creatively use space and light are especially welcome. Participation by local businesses, cultural organizations, and faith-based institutions is also encouraged, through offering venues or open access to the public for artistic presentations.
