GRINCHED! A HOLIDAY PANTO

CALLING ALL ACTORS! JOIN IN THE HOLIDAY FUN WITH GRINCHED! THE HOLIDAY PANTO

Huntsville Festival of the Arts (HfA) and The Huntsville Theatre Company (HTC) are thrilled to announce a brand-new production of GRINCHED! A HOLIDAY PANTO, a laugh-out-loud twist on Dr. Seuss’s classic tale coming to the Algonquin Theatre for three performances on December 20 & 21, 2025.

Following the sold-out success of A Christmas Carol in 2023, this year’s holiday show will once again be directed by local theatre artist Robin Clipsham and will feature HfA Executive Director Dan Watson in the role of the Grinch.

The production is currently seeking expressions of interest from local actors. There are 20–25 roles available, including chorus parts. Community members ages 10 and up are encouraged to apply. Rehearsals will take place on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons starting October 15. Please note that these are volunteer roles. The holiday season just got a whole lot sillier with GRINCHED! THE HOLIDAY PANTO, a laugh-out-loud twist on Dr. Seuss’s classic tale.

Written and directed by Robin Clipsham, this brand-new production brings together a cast of talented local community members for a side-splitting, toe-tapping, family-friendly show filled with outrageous costumes, over-the-top characters, hilarious hijinks, and plenty of audience participation (get those boos and cheers ready!).

In true panto tradition, expect big laughs, cheeky jokes, and some unexpected surprises as our mischievous green grump tries to steal Christmas from the merry folks of Whoville. Will the power of community, kindness, and holiday spirit be enough to save the day? (Spoiler: with your help, it just might be!)

Perfect for kids, parents, grandparents, and anyone who loves a good giggle, this is holiday entertainment at its most magical. Whether it’s your first panto or your fiftieth, GRINCHED! THE HOLIDAY PANTO is sure to become your new festive tradition.
