The Huntsville Festival of the Arts (HfA) is thrilled to partner with Lakeland Networks to offer the LAKELAND NETWORKS ARTS ACCESS PROGRAM taking place throughout its 2024-25 programming year.
The goal of this new program is to increase access to the arts for community members in Muskoka. Through the support of Lakeland Networks, individuals facing financial barriers will benefit from bursaries for HfA youth programs as well as complimentary tickets to its concerts. Inclusion in the program is based on nominations from community and family members.
Nominations for the 2024-2025 program are now open. Community and family members can recommend individuals who have an interest in the arts and would benefit from support. Nominators will need to answer a few questions about the nominee’s interests and explain how they would benefit from the Arts Access Program. Once a nomination has been recommended, there will be a follow-up interview. Decisions regarding participation in the program will be at the discretion of HfA representatives. Opportunities for Fall HfA Youth Programming are currently available. Opportunities for concert tickets will be offered as they become available throughout 2024-25 HfA Season.
PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH
HfA offers a variety of arts based programs for youth ages 0-18 along with their caregivers. Providing educational opportunities for students to develop their appreciation of the arts is central to the HfA mandate. HfA camps and programs bring students face-to-face with professional artists who inspire a deep love of the arts. As a renowned not-forprofit organization, HfA has nurtured a network of renowned artists who generously share their expertise, knowledge, and passion with local youths. When you sign your child up for a program with HfA, you can be sure the experience they have will leave a lasting impression.
The majority of our programming takes place in the HfA Studio located at 58 Main St. E (entrance across from River Mill Park) as well as in schools and community spaces.
CONCERTS
HfA presents an eclectic mix of International, national and local artists in Huntsville. Traditionally, the Festival presents between 50-70 concerts and events from a variety of genres and typically attracts between 25,000-35,000 visitors annually. While the majority of our concerts take place in the Algonquin Theatre, we also present in a variety of spaces including Deerhurst Resort, Canvas Brewery, Sandhill Nursery and a variety of venues that highlight the natural spaces Muskoka has to offer.
