Huntsville Public Library Children’s Events

The Friends of the Library provide entertaining and educational performers in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 232 during summer months.

Tickets are available in advance at the Library or at the door (cash only) on performance day.
Cost: $3 per person

Performances held at the Huntsville Legion 21 Veterans Way.

Speaking of Wildlife
Wednesday, July 10 at 11:00 am

Speaking of Wildlife’s interactive presentation features 5-6 of our native Ontario wildlife ambassadors (live animals)! This presentation may feature animals such as porcupine, hawk, bobcat, turtle, skunk, goose, owl, snake, etc. and includes information about each individual animal, their species, adaptations and habitat.

Little Fingers Music presents Songs from the Garden
Wednesday, July 17 at 11:00 am

An environmentally friendly interactive rock show for children. The show includes singing, dancing, and drumming and other serious non-sense.

Little Read Theatre present The Firebird
Wednesday, July 24 at 11:00 am

The famous Russian fable tells the story of a Tsar who promises his kingdom as a reward to the son who can capture the wild and precious Firebird. Prince Ivan struggles with the weight of his quest but successfully walks a difficult path full of adventure and the help of a magical fox. Done in the round, with dance, lots of audience participation and great storytelling. Children will be amused, engaged, entertained and well educated!

Scales Nature Park
Wednesday, July 31 at 11:00 am

Scales Nature Park provides outstanding programming about Canadian reptiles, amphibians, and their habitats. Their goal is to facilitate the conservation of these creatures through increasing awareness, changing attitudes, and engaging people to take action.

Team T&J Family Music Entertainment
Wednesday, August 7 at 11:00 am

TEAM T&J are a fresh dose of active and uplifting family entertainment. They play original music that has everyone up and moving with them right from the start! They engage and interact in a positive, active and uplifting manner. TEAM T&J sets an environment where kids can explore and express their creativity and imaginations through the excitement and freedom of live music interaction!
