A FUN FILLED WEEK OF MUSIC AND DANCE FOR AGES 7-12
Led by local musician and dance leader, Hannah Shira Naiman, this unique camp draws on traditional music and dance repertoire to create a beautiful showcase presentation for parents and friends at the Algonquin Theatre. Designed for kids aged 7-12, this week is full of songs, games, and simple dances from a variety of folk traditions- including English longsword dancing, morris dancing and more! One of the staples of this camp is the creation of a folk art masterpiece: a “crankie machine”! Children will work together to illustrate a large scroll that moves through songs and stories as part of the final presentation. This is truly a one-of-a-kind day camp experience that your kid won’t want to miss!
Parents will be invited to attend a showcase performance at the end of the week on stage at the Algonquin Theatre.
